Pros and cons of holidays in Dubai
Dubai is an interesting and multifaceted metropolis. But, like any interesting place, it has both pluses and minuses. Let's start with the positives.
Pros of living in Dubai
The service has become much better even compared to previous years. Yesterday in a cafe I didn’t like the taste of the dish, which I told the waiter, which turned out to be indopak, but that’s not the point.
He immediately offered to replace it with any other, brought me a set of snacks as a compliment, apologized three times and then asked five more times if everything was fine.
What I liked the most was that he made this decision himself. Didn't call the chef/director/manager as usual . In our country, people are not able to take responsibility and make decisions. But this is a completely different topic, and it’s better for me not to start it, otherwise it will carry me so that I can’t stop.
The water in Dubai is the cleanest, transparent lagoon. For those who do not like waves - just perfect.
In Dubai, the most delicious chicken in all its variations, as well as all dishes with her participation. Chicken and mushroom pasta is everywhere where pasta is prepared, and there is simply nothing tastier.
Dubai has the most delicious fattoush in the world.
Dubai has the best French fries. In general, in the Middle East - the most delicious french fries in the world, it's not for nothing that they eat it even through a veil.
And of course, for lovers of hummus, falafel, avocado in all its manifestations, the Emirates is an ideal country.
Dubai has become sooooo hospitable. All people are friendly and willing to help. Representatives of the aforementioned nationalities are also very hospitable.
Dubai is a very safe city. This is not Rome or Barcelona , where local street thieves strive to pull out your wallet, iPhone, or even worse, steal your bag.
I love Dubai in December. The sun is so soft that it is simply impossible to burn out. And getting a golden tan is easy. Perfect time for buggy tour dubai. That's all about the pluses. Let's move on to the cons of rest in Dubai.
Cons of staying in Dubai
The first and most important, and I think everyone knows about it. Construction. Unceasing, endless, ubiquitous. And a huge number of those same nationalities.
Dubai has become quite expensive. I can’t say that it’s directly expensive, as in Switzerland, for example, but a dish in a street cafe costs an average of 50-100 AED.
In restaurants, respectively, even more expensive. But the portions are so big that you can safely divide it into two. Plus, in some places you can order half. In short, the times when I bought myself a brand new iPhone here, because it was cheap, have passed without a trace.
There is a lot of sand in the air. How to deal with this has not yet been figured out. You walk and see a construction site with sand. It was not sand that was brought to the construction site, but all the land that you walk on is sand, since the city was built in the desert.
So if you are an asthmatic, here your disease will only flourish. Any local doctor will tell you this.
My beloved JBR has finally turned into an anthill. From the sunny, deserted, cleanest, just to the shine of the licked embankment, there was not a trace left.
In some hotels and restaurants, the service is still very slow and you always strive to include an extra lunch on the bill or not return the entire deposit. But this is a Dubai classic. Therefore, be on the alert.
