Masters 2022 results highlights Scottie Scheffler
There was quite a lot of movement on moving day at the 2022 Masters, but most of the star-studded field was headed in the wrong direction.Unseasonably cool weather and consistent wind greatly impacted the 52 players who took the course Saturday. Sixteen players recorded rounds of 5 over par or worse in Round 3; as a result, just seven players are under par for the tournament after 54 holes.Scottie Scheffler didn't seem fazed by the conditions, though. The 36-hole leader and world No. 1-ranked player had an up-and-down round but ultimately finished at 1 under, tied for the third-best round of the day. He maintained his lead, though it was cut to three strokes from five, as Cameron Smith shot a 4-under 68 to move into second place at 6 under for the tournament.Tiger Woods who made the cut at plus 1 had a rocky day, much like the rest of the field. He shot a 6-over 78, his highest score ever at the Masters."Well, I was hitting too many putts," , laughing. "It was like putting practice out there. I hit 1,000 putts today. Think I had four three-putts and a four-putt. Honestly, I didn't really think I hit it all Troy Aikman Jersey that bad. I just had absolutely zero feel for the greens. This could pose trouble for him as he looks to take a four-shot lead into Sunday.7:02 p.m. Scheffler has moved back to 10-under with a birdie on 17. If he can get a par on the final hole, he will enter Sunday with a four-shot lead.6:56 p.m. Scheffler just narrowly avoided the bunker on his second shot at 17th hole. He skipped the ball very close to the hole and will have an excellent chance at a birdie putt to get back to 10-under par.6:50 p.m. Charl Schwartzel just three-putted on a Par-3. He had a short but tough par putt and couldn't make it. He slips to 3-under and fourth place.6:47 p.m. Scheffler logs his first par since the 11th hole. He nearly made a very long birdie putt but had a very easy par putt. Meanwhile, Sungjae Im moves to 4-under after making a nice birdie putt on 17.6:38 p.m. Scheffler has bogeyed for the third time in his last four holes. It marks his first bogey on a Par-5 during the Masters so far. His lead over Cameron Smith has been cut to three.6:35 p.m. Cameron Smith finishes with a par at 18. He shoots a 4-under par 68 and will likely hold sole po se sion of second place heading into Sunday.6:34 p.m. Shane Lowry made a nice sand save on the 16th hole to log a par. However, he hasn't birdied since the sixth hole and has dropped two strokes over that span putting him seven back of the leader, Dallas Cowboys Rompers Sheffler.6:33 p.m. There are only seven players currently under par at the Masters, as moving day has been difficult for most of the event's competitors. They have moved in the opposite direction, with many shooting well over par.6:18 p.m. Scottie Scheffler records a bogey on the 14th hole. He has now gone bogey-birdie-bogey on his last three holes and his lead is down to four. He is a 10-under for the tournament.6:02 p.m. And Cameron Smith can't save par on the Par-3 16th hole. He drops a shot and Scheffler's lead very quickly goes from three back to five.6:01 p.m. Scheffler managed to get himself a birdie on the 13th hole despite an errant tee shot. He'll need to hit a good bunker shot to save par and keep the pre sure on Scheffler.5:54 p.m. Cameron Smith birdied the 15th hole, which has cut Scheffler's lead to three. The Masters (@TheMasters) 5:49 p.m. Both Schwartzel and Scheffler have misfired on the 13th tee. Schwartzel is in the pine straw while Scheffler is on the fairway but doesn't seem to have an angle at the hole. The Par-5 could prove tricky for the duo, especially Scheffler as he looks to avoid a second consecutive bogey.5:46 p.m. Scheffler notches a bogey on the 12th. His lead over Cameron Smith is now down to four strokes.5:41 p.m. Scottie Scheffler had a tricky bunker shot on the Par-3 12th hole. He got it out, but it slid off the green. He'll need a good third shot to minimize any potential damage on this hole.5:34 p.m. Schwartzel has dropped a shot on the 11th hole. He is Roger Staubach T Shirts now back down to 5-under par and in sole po se sion of third place. Scheffler, who got a par on 11, is still at 11-under.5:23 p.m. Tiger Woods' day has come to an end. He shot 6-over on the day and dropped four strokes on the final three holes. He closed the day with a double bogey and struggled on the green Saturday.
